That is a huge brown! 8 lbs! I love seeing fish like that. Did you fight it for a long time? I have a buddy who caught a fish that looked just like that one, exactly the same size, in the same stretch of water. It even looks like the same riffle in that shoal behind you in the picture. I actually think he has a picture of him holding that fish. What are the odds? Your clients must love it when you put them on fish like that.

I didn't catch that fish, a really cool fisherman of mine from St. Louis caught it. Honestly the fight wasn't much over 5 minutes (though they always seem longer when it's happening) mostly becuase it was on the point fly tied to 4x tippet. So you are familiar with the North Fork of the White?

the fish are truly beautiful, the scenery too! my personal belief,"the size, or numbers,are not nearly as important,as where you catch them".
