Bead-Head Crackleback

I have to admit, I use the latter fly almost exclusively  but that has to do more with the waters I fish than the fly.  I do tie my bead-head Cracklebacks quite a bit skinnier than the one in the photo and most of mine are more of a caddis color....one of the most versatile flies you will ever see!  I use them as caddis pupas and emergers--in the same drift!
